The Fly South Fest is the last chance to get the grill going as a point-qualifier for Memphis in May. Whether you are among the regional competitive cooking teams, forming a team for fun or licking your chops for People's Choice and soaking in the sights and smells of some of the finest food of the South, the BBQ Competition welcomes all during the day for a $5 parking fee in Central City Park, just outside the gates of the historic Luther Williams Field.
Fly South also hosts the "Jamboaree" family-friendly festivities in the Luther Williams Field parking lot throughout the day. Along with the local live music, there will be square dancing, clogging, obstacle course, "Spider Mountain" climb, pig-kissing photo opp's and a Little Richard Impersonator Contest with a $300 grand prize!
In addition to an assortment of food vendors - including local BBQ, as well as Bison, sweet treats, carnival cuisine, hotdogs, hot beverages and cold beer, art and gift vendors will be selling their wares in the spirit of holiday shopping.
And the football lovers need not fret. We'll have a big screen broadcasting the SEC championship - who says you can't have it all?
